Quality Parts Coalition Applauds
2007 Most Influential Women in the Collision Repair Industry Winners
Automotive Body Parts Association President Dolores Richardson Recognized
Washington, DC — At the ninth annual Most Influential Women in the Collision Repair Industry Awards held during the 2007 International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE), Dolores Richardson, president of the Automotive Body Parts Association and active member of the Quality Parts Coalition, was among five women honored for their commitment to the replacement parts industry.
The awards, held each year by Akzo Nobel, celebrate the leadership skills and contributions of women to the collision repair industry. Richardson, who founded AtPac Auto Body Parts Inc. nearly twenty-five years ago, has served as president of the Automotive Body Parts Association for the past three years, investing her passion in securing legislation to keep the industry competitive.
“Ms. Richardson’s work has helped to bring the necessity of a ‘repair clause’ in the U.S. design patent law to the foreground,” said Quality Parts Coalition Executive Director Eileen Sottile, a recipient of the award in 2006. “The Automotive Body Parts Association has a long history of preserving competition in the aftermarket parts industry and the Quality Parts Coalition is delighted that Dolores has been recognized for her continued commitment.”
