Associations and Coalitions
Alliance of State Automotive Aftermarket Associations (ASAAA)
ASAAA is comprised of 18 regional
and state associations representing the automotive aftermarket.
While most memberships are predominantly independent parts distributors,
many of the associations represent all aspects the automotive industry
including automotive service and repair. With over 10,000 members
represented among the 18 state associations, ASAAA seeks to unite
its efforts to impact their members business by having a positive
influence on the industry both in their respective states and nationally.
American Insurance Association (AIA)
The American Insurance Association (AIA) is the leading property-casualty insurance trade organization, representing 350 insurers that write more than $123 billion in premiums each year. AIA member companies offer all types of property - casualty insurance, including personal and commercial auto insurance, commercial property and liability coverage for small businesses, workers' compensation, homeowners' insurance, medical malpractice coverage, and product liability insurance.
Automotive Aftermarket Association of the Carolinas & Tennessee, Inc. (AAACT)
AAACT is a non-profit voluntary trade association of business firms engaged in the wholesale/retail or warehouse distribution of automotive replacement parts, supplies and/or equipment in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Automotive Aftermarket Association Southeast (AAAS)
Established in 1938, AAAS is a nonprofit trade association representing the automotive parts manufacture, distribution, service and repair industry. Serving automotive aftermarket businesses in Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi, AAAS membership consists of parts manufacturers, distributors, jobbers, service facility specialists (paint & body, general repair, transmission, muffler shops, etc.), engine rebuilding and machine shop specialists.
Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA)
AAIA is a Bethesda, Maryland based
association whose 8,243 member companies and affiliates manufacture,
distribute and sell motor vehicle parts, accessories, service, tools,
equipment, materials and supplies. Through its membership, AAIA represents
more than 100,000 repair shops, parts stores and distribution outlets.
AAIA formerly served the industry as Automotive Parts & Accessories
Association (APAA) and the Automotive Service Industry Association
(ASIA).
Automotive Body Parts Association (ABPA)
ABPA strives to ensure all members
achieve the greatest degree of success possible within their respective
marketing areas. The ABPA member represents the best the industry
has to offer, whether it's in the area of Product Quality, Service
and/or Product Value. Joining ABPA means a commitment of time,
energy and effort to help in building an industry as one would
build a business. In unity, ABPA members find the strength to meet
the challenges of an ever-changing marketplace.
Automotive Parts & Service Association of Illinois (APSA of Illinois)
APSA of Illinois is a not-for-profit trade association representing the automotive aftermarket industry in Illinois. The Association's objective is to promote and foster high ethical business standards among those engaged in the merchandising of essential automotive materials and services. APSA of Illinois strives to create and establish practical methods for the growth and development of the automotive aftermarket business.
California and Nevada Automotive Wholesalers Association (CAWA)
CAWA is a non-profit trade association representing automotive aftermarket parts manufacturers, jobbers, warehouse distributors and retailers in the two states it serves. The Association was formed in 1955 and serves as the voice of the aftermarket parts industry in the West. CAWA prides itself on quality customer service to its members and the industry, providing legislative and regulatory advocacy.
Chesapeake Automotive Business Association (CABA)
CABA is a not-for-profit membership trade association of aftermarket businesses in Maryland, Delaware and Washington, DC. CABA is dedicated to the development of locally owned auto repair & tire service centers, their jobbers and the aftermarket professionals that supply them. The focus of CABA efforts is on programs and services that enhance our member’s competitive skills, lower their business operating expenses and help them attract, motivate & keep the best employees.
The Coalition for Auto Repair Equality (CARE)
CARE is a national, nonprofit organization representing major companies in the $200 billion-a-year, five million people-strong, Automotive Aftermarket. CARE’s underlying role is to ensure that consumers nationwide receive safe, affordable and convenient vehicle repair and service. CARE was formed in April 1991, by a national coalition of aftermarket companies to successfully
combat a pro-monopoly, anti-competition, anti-consumer congressional bill known as The Design Innovation and Technology Act
of 1991, HR 1790.
Florida Automotive Industries Association (FAIA)
FAIA is a statewide automotive aftermarket
association dedicated to serving the needs of its members by providing
information, governmental & regulatory services, quality business
products and networking opportunities. It is owned by the membership
and operated through a Board of Directors and Officers, elected
by the membership on a geographical basis. Eligible members for
FAIA are wholesale distributors, jobbers, service facilities (general
repair, tire dealers, paint & body, transmission, muffler shops,
etc.), engine rebuilders and machine shops and manufacturers. The
automotive aftermarket in Florida includes over 24,000 independent
businesses that employ over 150,000 employees.
Kentucky / Indiana Automotive Wholesalers Association (KIAWA)
KIAWA is a non-profit trade association comprised of automotive parts stores, warehouses, repair service facilities, and other aftermarket businesses throughout Kentucky and Indiana. Serving members since 1958, the mission of KIAWA is to advance the interests of the automotive aftermarket industry by providing benefits and services that improve business prosperity, efficiency, and service to their customers.
Michigan Automotive Parts Association
The Michigan Automotive Parts Association is a non-profit state business association representing automotive parts stores, warehouse distributors, service repair facilities and associates throughout Michigan. Our mission is to provide members with business and educational information relative to the sale of automotive replacement parts, to promote the automotive aftermarket industry, to provide legislative and regulatory advocacy and to enable group purchasing of member service programs. Founded in 1953, MAPA today represents over 430 automotive aftermarket business locations in Michigan.
National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC)
Founded in 1895, the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) is a full-service national trade association serving the property/casualty insurance industry with more than 1,400 member companies that underwrite more than 40 percent of the property/casualty insurance premium in the United States. NAMIC members are small farm mutual companies, state and regional insurance companies, risk retention groups, national writers, reinsurance companies, and international insurance giants. Together, we are NAMIC.
New York State Automotive Aftermarket Association (NYSAAA)
Serving the Aftermarket since 1949, this not-for-profit association has existed solely for the support of its members in the day to day challenges that they face. NYSAAA offers multiple services and supplies to help with the cost of operating a business in today’s market place. Consisting of approximately 500 members they also help with many governmental issues that will help to insure the future for the countless number of employees and customers that rely on the existence of the Automotive Aftermarket.
Ohio Valley Automotive Aftermarket Association (OVAAA)
OVAAA is a non-profit trade association representing aftermarket businesses in Ohio and West Virginia. Members include
automotive parts stores, warehouses, paint and body shop suppliers, manufacturers, manufacturers agents, repair service facilities, body shops, full-service stations, tire dealers, used parts suppliers, glass shops and other related industries. The Ohio Valley Automotive Aftermarket Association was originally known as the Ohio Automotive Wholesalers Association (OAWA), which was founded in Ohio in 1957.
Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI)
PCI is the nation’s premier insurer trade association, representing over 1,000 companies that write 40.7 percent of the nation’s automobile, homeowners, business, and workers compensation insurance. The association is also an advocate for sound public policy that fosters a healthy and competitive insurance marketplace. In addition, PCI’s wholly owned subsidiary, the Independent Statistical Service, Inc. (ISS) offers a statistical reporting service for 17 property casualty lines.

Washington Automotive Wholesalers Association (WAWA) represents automotive aftermarket businesses in the state of Washington. It was founded in 1960 to join businesses together to deal with management, financial, regulatory and legislative matters, both on the state and federal levels. Its purpose is to provide support to the automotive aftermarket that will enhance the industry's productivity, image and role in the various communities it serves.
Wisconsin Automotive Parts Association (WAPA)
